I went to Sterling Vineyards for the first time this year, because Lisa thought I should see it at least once. It was set up like a theme park with tickets to a lovely gondola ride that takes you up to the winery, which is located at the top of a hill. The gondola, just like the wine, was somewhat anticlimactic, but offered a unique experience and view. It looked like an enclosed ski lift with windows, had no seat belts, and fit up to 4 people. However, I feel that the ride was worth it to see and that this place is a part of what makes Napa, Napa. Sterling actually started out as a sparkling wine maker. However, Lisa was borderline offended when they told her if she joined the sparkling wine club, then she would not be allowed to taste indoors because they cannot accommodate the likely group of six women. He strangely seemed to stereotype sparkling wine club members as being females coming in large groups of six.
